The room was simple but the mattress was way too firm for comfort.

Staying at the Britannia Inn was enjoyable. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Sherborne. The Beautiful King Room felt spacious, warm, and comfortable. I appreciated how clean the room was, and the shower had great water pressure. Staff members were cute and quickly handled a shower issue I had. The breakfast fell short. It was limited with no full cooked options, just cereals, bread, and some yogurt. There were also no teabags and fruit that was spoiled at the bottom. Room service didn't restock tea and coffee supplies, disappointing. The absence of a hairdryer in the room added unnecessary inconvenience.

i was happy with hotel's comfortable location close to centre. there were large, absolutely brilliant rooms with tea coffee, music coming from the beer garden below as well, for instance. location: the property was short walk to the beer garden, the railway station, and a cafe. i was surprised at nearby clever cobs, they had some goodies, drinks.

good WiFi, nice room, adequate TV
Cleanliness needs attention!!! Arriving to find used toiletries in the shower is unacceptable!!! Confusion with room allocation and poor apology remedies shouldn't happen!!! Some areas feel neglected, honestly.

Family with kids should consider it
So I gotta say, the fan in the room was a lifesaver during those scorching hot days! Plus, the breakfasts were self-service, and I loved being able to grab what I wanted at my own pace, really felt relaxed.
It wasn't cheap, but still acceptable.

Perfect spot in the middle of it all!
The family room was spacious, and the location is ace-right in town and super quiet. It's just a short walk to the train station. The bar area was a nice chill spot for an evening drink. Only thing is, the Wi-Fi could be spotty at times, but not a dealbreaker.
